This will enable the participants to understand not only their role in the Church, but also help them tangibly experience “big Church,” and more fully appreciate the Spirit acting in and through the Bishop and his governing body. The archdiocesan staff will also have the opportunity to start to get to know the participants, so that they can be better leveraged as a resource for the diocese (given their vast secular competencies and experience) in combination with their developing Catholic imagination and vigor for the faith. Ultimately, it is the first step in effective co-responsibility: inculcating relationships between a well-formed and passionate laity with the institutional Church.

Who is invited?
Lay Mission participants and alumni, and diocesan staff only. Children can come, too, but they may get pretty bored. If you plan to bring anyone, please let us know by emailing us, so we can ensure we have enough food.

Is there a makeup date?
There are no make-up dates for this workshop because the Archbishop and his Diocesan team will conduct the workshop. The other diocesan workshops will cover Charism discernment.
However, if you missed the Charism discernment workshop last year, or would like a refresher, feel free to sign up for the Sacramento workshop on 18 January.
Is there a fee?
