The “Apostolic Commissioning” retreat is the kickoff of the year-three formation. We transition this year from theological foundations to where the rubber meets the road in practical evangelization in six areas of secular engagement that shape our culture: law, politics, science, arts, business, and economy. The curriculum comes full circle back to the topic of the lay vocation through the lens of the Mass, as we dive deeper into the reality of the Eucharist as source and summit of our life in Christ. This retreat is the final one of the formation, and sets our sights on what Our Lord has for only us to accomplish in this world.
What can I expect?
Prayer, presentations, large group discussion, small group discussion, Q&A with Fr. Michael and Sean, lunch, laughs, and soul-nourishment.
What should I bring?
A smile, and something to take notes.
Who is invited?
Lay Mission participants and alumni, and diocesan staff only. Children can come, too, but they may get pretty bored. If you plan to bring anyone, please let us know by emailing us, so we can ensure we have enough food.

There is no “fee,” but there is a recommended cash donation of $20/participant to cover lunch.

The entrance to the Notre Dame Hall St. Joseph Notre Dame High School is NOT THE SAME as the address you’ll find on a maps search. You can park at the Basilica, the elementary school, or on the street near Notre Dame Hall. See video below for clear instructions.
