This workshop is meant to serve as a resource that enables you to begin discerning the specific ways in which the Holy Spirit has been working and continues to work through you and through others. It is necessary to undertake a process of discernment in common with others who are likewise working through the material, or who already know it well.
The purpose of charism discernment is to begin to recognize the specific gifts you (and others) have been given, in baptism, for the restoration and healing of others. The charisms empower us truly to participate in the mission of our Lord. Once you begin to notice the patterns of their presence in your own life, that recognition can help you see more clearly where you might be called, freely and joyfully, to focus your attention, energy, and work in the saving mission of our Lord. Thus it is a wonderful help to understanding more clearly our own personal call, our vocation.

What can I expect?
Prayer, presentations, large group discussion, small group discussion, Q&A with Fr. Michael and Sean, lunch, laughs, and soul-nourishment.
What should I bring?
A smile, and something to take notes.
Who is invited?
Lay Mission participants and alumni, and diocesan staff only. Children can come, too, but they may get pretty bored. If you plan to bring anyone, please let us know by emailing us, so we can ensure we have enough food.

- 12:30pm – Lunch
- 4:15pm – Dismissal
*FYI: St. Mary Magdalen Parish has 5:30pm Mass anticipating the Sunday liturgy.
Is there a makeup date?
There is one “make up” the week prior, on Saturday 20 April 2024 in San Francisco. For more info, or to register for that one instead, please click here.
Is there a fee?
There is no fee, but it does cost us about $15/participant for lunch.
